First edition, decorated with a fine portrait of Louis XVII drawn and copper-engraved by Manceau after a painting by Kucharsky in 1792, three years before the royal prince's death.
These historical memoirs of the Enfant-Martyr (Eckard) contain details of the young prince's life, from his birth in Versailles in 1785 to 1795, when he succumbed to tuberculosis in his cell at the Temple prison.
