FRENCH SCHOOL First half of the 19th century Pair of miniatures forming a pendant: 1 - Portrait of a man in blue jacket, holding a letter in his right hand. Miniature of round shape. Annotated on the reverse of the frame sheet in pen, François Duché died in September 1850 at the age of 61. Made in 1820, given on 8 bre 1820. Diameter : 5.50 cm. 2 - Portrait of a young woman with her hair held up by a didemus wearing a pearl necklace. Miniature of round form. Annotated on the reverse side of the framing sheet in pen, Mle Fanny Peigne wife of François Duché, born in 1796, died in August 1834. Made in 1818, and given on January 1, 1819. Diameter : 5.50 cm. Rectangular frames in blackened wood, gilded and chased metal frame. A split frame. 10.90 x 10.60 cm.
