Beautiful letter of direction to his eldest son, to whom he entrusts his wife and other children. He made enemies "by defending the freedom of the citizens of my country"... [After Thermidor], to the President of the Convention (1 p. in-fol.). "Five decades have passed since I put before the eyes of the Convention my printed complaint. The assembly was able to convince itself of the perfect innocence of one of its members, zealous and ardent friend of the republican principles; and yet I still remain in the horrible position of proscription!" He wants to return to the Convention in "the happy harmony of hearts and lights necessary to complete together the immortal edificeof liberty"... [October 25, 1793].
