Important SAROUK carpet (Persia), early 20th century Dimensions : 580 x 310cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A fuchsia field supports an inextricable sowing of compositions and polychrome floral vases, serving as a case for a cruciform medallion, poly-lobed, vegetalized and its pendants arrows. This magnificent corolla is with petals with volutes and emerald heart. The four spandrels are with floral formations with ivory and pistachio arabesques. The main navy border is with polychrome flower stems in majesty. It is flanked by four counter borders with multicolored flowers. Ivory highlights. Very beautiful floral set.
