COMMITTEE OF LEGISLATION. P.S. by Ruffin... - Lot 135 - Rossini
COMMITTEE OF LEGISLATION. P.S. by Ruffin Massa, Sylvain Pépin and Pons de Verdun, Paris 27 thermidor III (August 14, 1793); 4 pages in-fol., vignette and header of the Committee of Legislation. On the confiscation of the goods of the emigrants. At first the goods of Louis François Jules Jehannot Bartillat were confiscated and were to be sold for the benefit of the Republic, because he was considered an emigrant, having died in Trier on May 19, 1792. But the mortuary extract produced not having any legality, the time of one month granted to the emigrants not having elapsed when he died, and in view of other considerations exposed at length, it is decided that "his name will be removed from all lists of emigrants where he could have been registered, that the sequestration imposed on his movable and immovable goods will be lifted; that the minor Carline Jehannot dit Bartillat" will have the right to the succession of her father. One P.S. by Azema, David de l'Aube and Laplaigne, 6 floréal III (April 25, 1795), concerning the removal of P.L. Fontenay from the list of emigrants; a P.S. by Laplaigne, Massa, Mollevaut and Pépin, 28 prairial III (June 16, 1795), granting a leave of absence to the citizen Locré, "to go to Arpajon, Estampes & surrounding places"; one L.S. by Pons de Verdun and Vigneron, 18 thermidor III (August 5, 1795), to the administrators of the District of Sables (Vendée), requesting the necessary documents for the removal of Jacques-Louis Burecrie from the list of emigrants; and a small L.S. by Eschassériaux and Vigneron, for the removal of persons of the Choiseul-Praslin family. Plus a copy of a certificate of amnesty for emigration (1803).
