Charles de Beaumont, comte d'AUTICHAMP (1770-1859) officer, he served in the army of the Emigrants; under the Restoration, he had various military commands and became peer of France. L.A.S., Tours June 21, 1816; 3 pages in-4. He asks for decorations for officers who have always served the King faithfully, but have received neither promotion nor reward, and who seem to have been forgotten: M. de Monsabré, who is in a very special position, and who was wounded and crippled for life, would deserve the Cross of St. Louis; Amédée Bejarry who fought in all the first Vendée wars as well as M. de Bernetz who "did not have the courage to fight for me. de Bernetz who "did not leave me in the first years of the Vendée wars"; Messrs. Auguste Dumonstier, Barbot, etc... Enclosed is an envelope with his address "Marquis d'Autichamp" in London with red wax seal.
