Venus Caesarini or Venus in the bath in bronze with brown patina. Standing with her left leg resting on a pedestal and her body in strong twist, she carries a cloth on her chest with one hand and holds a modest drape with the other. On a gilded bronze base decorated with laurel wreaths and flower races on the feet. After Jean de Bologne (1529-1608) in the version of Antonio Susini (active in Florence 1572-1624), Regency period Height : 32,5 cm - Total height : 37 cm This model created by Jean Bologne around 1565, preserved in Vienna at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Kunstkammer, inv. 5874, is smaller than the version modelled and cast in series by Antonio Susini (active in Florence 1572-1624) Works consulted: C.
