The Love clock - Lot 328
The Love clock in gilded bronze, resting on a sea-green marble base with four claw feet, topped by a base decorated with two winged lions facing each other around a lyre. It depicts a Love seated on a stool, his bow at his side, asking for silence with a gesture of the hand. He is leaning on a post decorated with palmettes and water leaves hosting the metal dial with Roman numerals. Period movement. Empire period. Minor damage to the ornamentation, minor pitting to the gilding, oxidized dial. H. 47 cm high, 36 cm wide, 18 cm deep.
