Émile GALLE (1846-1904) Tea table, c. 1897, in moulded walnut and inlaid wood of different species with two poly-lobed tops and corner legs entirely carved with leaves and stems. legs entirely carved with leaves and stems. The top is decorated with decorated with butterflies on a background of carnations, vases and chestnut leaves, lower tray decorated with chestnut leaves. Signed in the marquetry of the upper tray. H.: 88 cm - W.: 91 cm - D.: 67 cm History: a similar model is kept in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris (inv. OAO 874), from the former collection of Mlle Andrée Vyncke.
