Long live the bride! circa 1850-1860 Folded fan, the gouache wallpaper sheet of a peasant girl on her husband's arm. Dressed in white, she wears a blue belt, the colour of the Virgin. Opening the bridal procession, they are cheered as they pass. A fiddler precedes them. Signed on the right " Ch. Giger ". Reverse in skin painted with sheaves of flowers, and flowers on the border. White mother-of-pearl frame finely pierced and engraved with golden sheaves of flowers and birds. H.t. 28.5 cm-H.F. 13.3 cm (good condition)
