The ancient banquet, circa 1790-1800 Folded fan, the sheet of skin, mounted in the English style and painted with a view of the interior of an ancient palace. A large assembly is gathered around a table. A queen kisses her child sitting on her lap under the eye of a soldier in armour. Reverse side painted with a vase decorated with flowers of a bouquet surrounded by two butterflies. Ivory frame* finely cut, carved and engraved with two figures framing a love and a couple of women. H.t. 25 cm-H.F. 15.2 cm (restorations, cuts, wear and tear) In a modern, openable frame box. Provenance: old collection Michel Maignan Gross weight : 47.9 g
