The Four Seasons, circa 1750 Folded fan, the sheet of skin painted with gouache and mounted in the English style. From left to right, Flore and its basket of flowers to evoke Spring, Summer with the harvest, close to Autumn and its bunches of grapes. Finally, Winter warming up near a fire. Reverse: a peasant woman and her dog walking. Pierced ivory* frame, richly painted with scenes of Chinese inspiration and birds, with mother-of-pearl powder highlights. Rare decoration painted on the fan field: musette, rake and torch on one side, ancient ruins on the other. H.t. 30.8 cm-H.F. 13.5 cm (good condition) Gross weight : 86.4 g.
