NATIONAL MARINE China Campaign Archives of Mr Yves MARTIN, sailor based in Brest Notebook of personal notes on the campaign in the Far East from 23 June 1900 to 17 October 1901. 66 pages of autograph texts, 12 postcards glued, a handmade map of the route, summary description of the cruiser Guichen, crossing from Brest to Takou (China), ports of call including Hiroshima, Kobe, from Hakodate to Vladivostock, return to Brest, table of the various breaks made by the cruiser during its campaign. Full-length photograph, signed Jean Canal, from Y. Martin in 1st master furrier's outfit in 1920. 50x40 cm. Photograph of Admiral Guepratte with sending "to my dear and devoted companion, very affectionate gratitude, 1 October 1922".
