TRUONG VAN Y (1935-) Truong Van Ý Haymaking / Mua gAt Oil on silk Dim. 38x59 cm. Brilliant pupil and researcher at the Gia Đinh Secondary School of Decorative Arts and then at the National Higher School of Fine Arts in Sàigòn, specialising in silk painting. He was later director of the Gia ??nh school from 1971 to 1975 before the fall of SàiGòn on 30 April 1975. He is nicknamed by his peers "the last emperor".
