Second edition of the French translation, published one year after the one published by Schulze in London. It is decorated with a large plate wood engraved leaflet, CELEBRATED IN SLAVER ICONOGRAPHY as it represents the various floors of a slave ship where the slaves are inhumanly crammed. Famous text by the historian Thomas Clarkson (1760-1846) denouncing the atrocious crimes and barbaric treatment inflicted on slaves African.
