RUSSIAN SCHOOL OF THE END OF THE 19th CENTURY. Portrait of Tsar Alexander III of Russia surrounded by his family. Pyrography on wood, decorated at each corner with the imperial eagle of the Romanoffs. Wooden element from a square pedestal table. Its base is missing. Slight wear and tear. H. H.: 42.5 cm - W.: 40 cm. History: the representation illustrating our tray was made from a photographic portrait of Emperor Alexander III and his family in 1888, and offered by Tsar Alexander III (1845-1894), to his cousin, Grand Duchess Olga Constantinovna of Russia, Queen of Greece.
