ANONYMOUS. World’s Fair. Palace of Optics. The Great Telescope of 1900. Model painted in gouache and watercolor on paper. Bears an inscription in Ancient Greek in the lower left corner: “Gemini” (the constellation Gemini had been observed more precisely using this telescope). Fairly good overall condition: small pinholes in the corners, slight signs of moisture, stains, and soiling. 60 x 40 cm
