LEGRAS – SAINT-DENIS “Samos” vase from the “Algues” series, with a conical, stepped body and an open neck. White glass prototype. Undersea scene decorated with polychrome enamels on a milky beige-orange background. Signed. Height: 52 cm Bibliography: Marie-Françoise and Jean-François Michel & Dominique and Jean Vitrat, François-Théodore Legras – Verrerie artistique et populaire française, Manufacture d’histoires Deux-Ponts, 2012; the model is referenced and reproduced in a commercial plate from the “Algues” series on p. 340, and on pp. 339–340 for vases from the “Algues” series.
