Officer’s Cross of the Order of the Legion of Honor, Third Republic period, circa 1920, in gilded bronze and polychrome enamel. With rosette ribbon, in a rectangular case lined with crimson velvet. Diameter: 4.3 cm. Included is a CDV-format photograph of the recipient, Mr. Émile Courtois, a veteran and war invalid of the Great War, an Officer of the Legion of Honor, and recipient of the Croix de Guerre with a distinctive gold star.
