HERVIEU Jacques - (1933-2010), Drawing Ancient head, probably Jupiter Academic drawing in black and white pencil on laid paper Inscribed “Jacques Hervieu 3ème bleue” in the upper right corner Sun damage, foxing, small tears Dimensions: 31 x 24 cm Jacques Hervieu was a writer from Normandy, originally from Périers in the Manche department. He was actively involved in local life and went on to become a judge and later president of the Coutances Commercial Court. Self-taught and passionate about the history of his region, he left behind several writings and accounts related to Normandy and World War II. His book *“It Was During the Exodus: Normandy, Summer 1944,”* published posthumously in 2024, recounts the exodus his family experienced during the Allied landings.
