HERVIEU Jacques - (1933-2010), Drawing - Archive Set of four black-and-white academic drawings in pencil on paper Included are two certificates of religious instruction (first and second exams), awarded by the Diocese of Dijon on June 30, 1947, and June 15, 1948, to Jacques Hervieu Sun damage, foxing, creases, tears, stains Jacques Hervieu was a Norman author originally from Périers, in the Manche department. He was actively involved in local life and went on to become a judge and later president of the Commercial Court of Coutances. Self-taught and passionate about the history of his region, he left behind several writings and accounts related to Normandy and World War II. His book *“It Was During the Exodus: Normandy, Summer 1944,”* published posthumously in 2024, recounts the exodus his family experienced during the Allied landings.
