[Stockholm, Jan Gros de Vries, 1691-1714 (1726)]. 3 parts in 2 folio volumes, first edition and first printing of this topography of the kingdom of Sweden and its provinces, one of the finest Swedish books, comprising 318 (of 354) plates, some folding, engraved by the finest French, Dutch and Swedish artists of the period, including Jean Le Pautre, Jean Marot, the Perelle brothers, Herman Padt-Brugge, Willem Swïdde, Jan Van Den Aveelen, Erik Retz and Truls Arridson, after drawings by the author. Bound in full contemporary tan calf, supra ex-libris stamped on the first plate ""à la substitution du Valdec proche Soleure en Suisse MDCCXXVI"", 5-ribbed ornate spine. (incomplete with 36 plates and often missing text and typographical titles, rubbing and stains to binding, epidermis, trace of scratched ex-libris, a few stains and minor marginal restorations).
