SÈVRES, in the taste of. Large circular porcelain potpourri and lid with polychrome and gold decoration alternating with friezes of scales, waves, roses and blue ribboned fillets. Mounted in gilded bronze, it stands on a four-legged pedestal in the form of a lion's paw, the handles decorated with a mascaron, the trompe-l'œil flower-shaped handle. Second half of the 19th century. Bearing false marks of the Manufacture de Sèvres on the reverse. H. 35 x L. 24.5 cm.
