Officer's dismounted saber, Consulat. Chased brass and ebony mounting. Skirted cap in the shape of a lion's head and spider's web. Jointed bow decorated with antique arms trophies and lion's head curved quillon. Squared ebony spindle. Curved Solingen blade with hollow sides and gutter, one-third chased (oxidation, cleaning). Leather scabbard with two brass fittings (clevis restored). Total length: 90 cm. France, Consulate period, early Empire.
