Model 1790 mounted hunter's saber. - Lot 22
Model 1790 mounted hunter's saber. Brass mounting. One-piece guard. Plate with two flat branches, connected by a third and straight plate tail. Copper and brass skirted cap with cut sides. Wooden spindle with cut sides covered with filigree leather. Curved blade with strong heel and hollow sides. Leather scabbard with three brass fittings (later). Total length: 107 cm. France, Revolutionary period. A late white buffalo strap is included.
