Naval officer's saber model 1837. Brass mounting with two main guard arms joined by an openwork plate decorated with a naval anchor and interlacing. Curved quillon and cap finely chased with a scallop frieze. Horn spindle, watermark missing. Slightly curved blade. As is, without scabbard. Total length 92 cm. France, mid-19th century.
