An angel, allegory of the new century, takes the faltering torch from the hands of a woman seated at the foot of an oak tree. Reverse: reverse: EXPOSITION. UNIVERSELLE. / INTERNATIONALE. DE / 1900 / PARIS. Vue du Grand et Petit Palais surmontée d'une couronne d'olivier et de roses sortant des nuages, sbd. 50 x 35 mm. - Round bronze medal after Jules Chaplain. Obverse: French Republic, under an oak tree, Marianne's head wearing a Phrygian cap in right profile; in the background, the city of Paris. Reverse: EXPOSITION. UNIVERSAL. INTERNATIONALE / 1900, a man carrying a torch borne aloft by a victory brandishing a laurel wreath; the Petit and Grand Palais buildings in background. In the exergue, a cartouche with attribution. Diam. 64 mm. - Square bronze plaque after Ovide Yencesse. Belgium personified as a seated woman offering a laurel branch to an angel holding a parchment, accompanied by France personified as a woman wearing a Phrygian cap. Reverse: the hall of the French section of the Brussels Exposition Universelle Internationale, below a shield surrounded by oak and laurel branches and the inscriptions SECTION FRANÇAISE / BRUXELLES / 1910 / EXPOSITION / UNIVERSELLE ET - INTERNATIONALE / COMITÉ FRANÇAIS DES EXPOSITIONS À L'ÉTRANGER. 67 x 67 mm. - After Louis Bottée: * Bronze plaque. Obverse: allegory of commerce and industry seated, factories in background, a cornucopia and a beehive at her feet, sbg. L. Bottée 99. Reverse, a laurel with a hammer, anvil, two snakes and thistle on the ground, inscription: COMITE / FRANCAIS / DES / EXPOSITIONS / A / L'ETRANGER. 64 x 42 mm. * Round bronze medal. Obverse: UNITE PRECISION REGULARITE, a woman personifying the allegory of the Mint, holding in one hand a balance, in the other a cornucopia from which coins are flowing; to the left, a genie, holding a torch against him, brandishes a laurel branch in the direction of the allegory; to the rear, a reduction lathe, a furnace and a monetary press from which coins are coming out in a basket. Reverse: MINISTERE DES FINANCES / ADMINISTRATION / DES / MONNAIES ET MEDAILLES, a palm encircled by a ribbon inscribing "centenaire de 1789" on a Parisian perspective showing the Ecole Militaire, the Champ-de-Mars, the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero. Reverse: XIIIE EXPOSITION DE BORDEAUX 1895 / SOCIETE PHILOMATHIQVE, a seated woman holding an open book in one hand, a feather in the other, her feet on a blank cartouche, the city of Bordeaux in the background. Obverse: a seated woman holding a laurel branch Reverse: a rooster on a globe inscribed "FRANCE" with laurel and oak branches, "FÊTES / FRANCO-ESPAGNOLES / COMITÉ / COMMERCIAL / ET / INDUSTRIEL", in a cartouche: MAI-JUIN 1905. 55 x 40 mm. - Round bronze medal ap. Daniel Dupuis. Obverse: a woman seated on a cloud writing the date 1900 on a ledger held by a putto. Reverse: Monnaie de Paris, a winged genie standing, holding a torch and leaning on a pendulum; on the ground, various elements inspired by monetary production. Diam. 50 mm. - Bronze medal by ap.
