Provenance : Perrouault, Rennes, acquired May 18, 1962; Paul and Florence Vercier Collection (L. 3607), no. 6 Bibliography: Le dessin [XVIe - XXe siècle] à travers une collection havraise, 1987, n°55 Jacques Sablet lived in Rome from 1767 to 1782, and his work includes a series of copies of antique statues and decorations. This drawing is based on one of Raphael's sibyls for the church of Santa Maria della Pace in Rome.
