C. DUC A LYON - Lot 334
C. DUC A LYON Rectangular liqueur cellar in Calamander wood veneer with gilded brass reinforcements, carrying handles on the sides. The domed lid reveals a dark blue velvet interior and is adorned with ten crystal stemmed glasses, three carafes and their stoppers cut with facets and a circular gilded metal tray, the edge chased with a frieze of crosses and flowers. Lock signed by the manufacturer "G.BETJEMANN & Sons London", plate inside bearing the dealer's name "C. DUC Lyon Marseille London" and one of the door lock components signed "C. DUC A LYON". London, Second half of the 19th century H. 30.5 - W. 36 - D. 23 cm Two glasses missing, small deformation to the rim of the top, veneer flaws and cracks.
