ARONSON Naoum, after, Beethoven, bronze bust with brown patina shaded with green, on the back: Aronson Bonn 1905, without founder's mark, Height: 34 cm. Provenance: Former collection of M. Marius Moutet (1876-1968), French politician and Minister of Colonies, a well-known historical figure. A close friend of Naoum Aronson, he interceded on his behalf when he applied for French naturalization. Their friendship is attested by a particularly warm handwritten note by Moutet, preserved in the Aronson collection of the Bibliothèque de la Ville de Paris, attached to a letter from the Minister of Justice dated 1924: "I am delighted with this success my dear compatriot and great friend.
