Set of two miscellaneous photographic albums (travel). Circa 1900-1950's.
- The first album, entitled "Voyage en Egypte" (Journey to Egypt), comprises some 55 mostly albumen prints, several of which are captioned (on visuals) and mounted on cardboard.
Identified photographers: J.P. Sebah (Jean Pascal SEBAH 1872-1947) and P. Dittrich (Paul DITTRICH 1868-1939). Examples of subjects: Heliopolis obelisk, Edfu, Arab bazaar, temples, fruit merchants, Arab women's cart, hieroglyphs, Karnak, tombs, etc. Medium visual format approx. 27 x 21.5 cm. Album format approx. 38 x 27.5 x 4 cm. Mounts and visuals with traces of foxing.
- A second album with handwritten captions inside on several mounts (scenes of life, Travels in England: London, Richmond, Eton, Windsor Castle ... - France: Paris, Brittany, Vitré, Camaret, Cap du Toulinguet, Morgat, Douarnenez, Locronan, Quimper, Angers, Chartres, Pierrefonds, Normandy: Carteret ... - Belgium: Mons, Brussels, Antwerp - Luxembourg ...) featuring over 400 vintage silver prints. Circa 1953-54. Various states and formats.
