Indo-Persian outfit. - Lot 77
Indo-Persian outfit. Small size, for child or panoply. Includes: Helmet Engraved hemispherical helmet with remains of niello work and Sanskrit text on the headband. It is topped by a quadrangular tip and features two feather holders on either side of the adjustable screw nosepiece. The bomb is pierced all around to accommodate its chain mail complement. Diameter: 17 cm. Rondache. In iron, engraved with cartouches and texts in Sanskrit, with a reinforcing band around the perimeter. Four poly-lobed cupules in the center. Oxidized interior covered with locally produced fabric. Diameter: 36 cm.
