He announces the dispatch of his service record, as well as the "honorable certificate" given by General Canclaux, which "testify to my zeal and exactitude in fulfilling my duties". He hopes that the Comité de Salut Public will keep its confidence in him, and wishes to change army: "I want to leave the army commanded by General Hoche, who is warned against me". This is a request he has already made "to your colleague Gillet, a member of the Comité de Salut Public, who knows me. [...] no matter in which army I am placed, I will always be fine, but if it were possible to have me go to the army of the Western Pyrenees, part of whose country I know, that would please me"... 9785/548
