Émile GALLÉ (1846 - 1904)
Carved molded walnut tea table with two multi-lobed rectangular tops in marquetry of different woods, decorated with a dragonfly and marsh flowers on the first top and water lily buds on the second top. Corner legs with grooved and ringed tubular legs ending in curved feet (scratches, stains).
Signed in the top marquetry.

History: a variant of our model was offered by Émile Gallé to his cousin Auguste Gallé on the occasion of his marriage to Berthe Franchemont on May 8, 1894 in Creil. It is currently conserved at the Musée Gallé-Juillet in Creil under inv. no. 1168.
