"Le Printemps", France, circa 1900 Broken bone fan painted with a gallant waterside scene after Watteau, "Le Printemps" engraved by Brillon, in the cycle of seasons commissioned by the collector Jean de Julienne. Pondside ruins on reverse. Chinese-style decoration at the throat and on the plumes. Height 21.5 cm (very good condition)
