KASHGAI carpet (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 378 x 163cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on wool foundation. A marine field hosts a sowing of stylized floral compositions, polychrome, forming cruciform flowered bouquets, interspersed with naive birds. Two royal blue borders enclose the main old gold, all three being garlands of geometric flowers in polychrome.
