First edition of this work, certainly the most interesting to consult on the finances of the Empire (Blanqui). Napoleon's Minister of Finance throughout his reign, the Duke of Gaëte (1756-1841) was appointed Governor of the Bank of France during the Restoration. Handwritten bookplate on the false title: M. Louis Thabaud 27 October 1818. A wide-margined copy, bound in booklet. Aureole and traces of wetness on the first and last leaves.
