In-4, marbled calf, double cold fillet, ornamented back, red and lemon head pieces, slices speckled with red (Binding of the period). Original edition in-4 format. A collection of documents from the trial of Louis XIV's famous attacker, assembled by André Le Breton, criminal clerk at the Paris Parliament. EXAMPLE IN A PLEASANT Epochal BINDING, the back is decorated with an repeated bird shoeing, complete with the Supplement (57 pages) and the Relation of the execution of Damiens made on Monday, March 28, 1757 (10 pages).
