"DONATED BY THE KING - Lot 24
"DONATED BY THE KING Model 1821 infantry officer's saber. Brass and shagreen mounting. Oval cap with laurel wreath, round jointing bow and small guard branch, curved quillon. Wooden spindle covered with filigree stingray. Curved blade with groove and gutter engraved on the back by the Klingenthal factory and dated 1828, engraved "DONNE PAR LE ROI". No scabbard, slight deformation at the quillon. Total length 87 cm. France, Restoration period.
