Antique carved and gilded wood frame with foliage and foliage scrolls.
Nicolas Bertin is credited with a subject illustrating, as here, a fable by La Fontaine: L'ours et l'amateur de jardins, sold at the Touard auction in Paris on February 22, 1779.
