Country Marivaudage, circa 1730-1740 Rare and very large folded fan, the double sheet in paper engraved and enhanced with gouache of a temple of Love, a child playing with a kite, a shepherd kneeling before his belle in a country setting. Peasants in the fields on the reverse. Wooden mounting. The plumes are pierced and engraved. H.t. 37.5 cm-H.f. 18.5 cm (major restorations to the leaf) Provenance: former Michel Maignan collection.
