Pierre-François RÉAL (1757-1834) politician, foiled Cadoudal's conspiracy and was prefect of police under the Empire. L.A.S., New York May 10, 1825, to a Prince [Joseph Bonaparte]; 1 1/2 pages in 8. He asks him to give Mr. Luckens a letter, which he was unable to give him before leaving New York: "an indisposition, lawsuits that I wanted to finish before my departure, experiments that generated experiments [...] deprived me of the honor of sending you this letter sooner," which he entrusts to a person who must pass through Bordenton to go to Philadelphia...
