Original oil on canvas (restorations) Signed or annotated on the reverse: J. Guynier fecit à grenoble / 1691. H.: 61.5 cm - W.: 76.5 cm Antique carved and gilded wood frame with acorns and oak leaves (missing and accidental). On Jean Guynier, who received the office of fourth consul of Grenoble (Guillaume Janneau, La Peinture française au XVIIe siècle, p.42 - Geneva 1965) we refer to the note devoted to him in the catalogue of the Musée de Grenoble, Peintures Françaises avant 1815, n° 51 - p. 132 - RMN 2000).
