About Zolotas: The house of Zolotas was founded in Athens in 1895 by Efthimios Zolotas. From the beginning, his creations, inspired by the Greek artistic and cultural heritage, seduced the Athenian high society. In 1910, Zolotas was recognized as a major jeweler when the Greek royal family commissioned him to create jewelry for the coronation ceremony of King George V of England. From the 1960s onwards, the company enjoyed international success, particularly with the Café Society and then the Jet Set. Celebrities such as Maria Callas, Jackie Kennedy-Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and Romy Schneider were prestigious ambassadors for the house. In the 1970s, the company collaborated with the Greek artists Takis and Alekos-Fassianos, and later with Claude Lalanne and Paloma Picasso. After working for Tiffany & Co, the American designer Ronald Mc Namer joined Zolotas in 1979. Drawing his inspiration from traditional Greek art and techniques, he embodies the identity of the house in a bold way, in oversized volumes.Reference: https://www.zolotas.fr/content/history
