Jacques Lenfant (1904-1996): Jacques Lenfant was the son of the jeweler Georges Lenfant who inscribed his master hallmark in the service of the guarantee in 1909. The workshop will always keep this name and this mark. He started working in the family workshop in 1915. From the end of the 1920s, the workshop specialised in knitwear and chain work. And it is as a chain maker that Jacques Lenfant presents himself. Deeply rooted in tradition, he is also passionate about the search for formal novelty and technical innovation. He registered several patents with the INPI for the development of gold chains and fabrics. One of Jacques Lenfant's best-sellers is the "paillette" collection. It is a new texture, giving a granite and shiny effect to the gold, obtained from a Milanese fabric rolled around a mandrel, then textured. The workshop has worked for the greatest French and international jewellery houses.
