A.Thomasse, Duvelleroy fans, circa 1890-1900 Fan sheet project, on paper, pencil, India ink, and ink wash. An elegant woman preceded by her greyhound walks down the steps of a large hotel, followed by the bellboy carrying his trunks. Her child watches a flag flying with the announcement for the "Fan Duvelleroy/ Passage des Panorames 17/ and Boulevard des Capucines 35 Paris". The sea and the cliffs close the horizon. Signed " A. Thomasse" at the bottom left. Stamp " Duvelleroy en bas à droite ". Second circular stamp "Fonds Duvelleroy" in the center and stamp "MJM" corresponding to the initials of Michel Jean Maignan. Handwritten mention in pencil in the upper left hand of Mr Maignan's hand "Exhibition L'Eventail Miroir de la Belle Epoque/ Palais Galliera 24 May 27 October 1985". H. 31 cm x W. 57 cm (spots) Provenance: former Michel Maignan collection, Duvelleroy fonds.
